I was born in Spokane Washington. I was adopted from St Ann's Children's home when I was 4 months old. We moved to Seattle when I was 5 years old. I attended Riverton Heights Elementary School, Boulevard Park Elementary School, St Bernadette's, Sunset Jr. High and Glacier High School. I went to Green River CC, Highline CC and South Seattle CC. I was a volunteer fireman with King County Fire District 11. I married Caroline Jane McKay in August 1972. I joined the USAF in May 1972 and was a crash rescue fireman. I was stationed at FE Warren in Cheyenne Wy and at Wiesbaden and Ramstein in Germany. After getting out of the USAF in April 1977 I worked in the electronics industry and attended Community College. In 1979 I went to South Seattle CC and took classes to become a pastry chef. We moved to Boise in 1981 and worked for both the Red Lion and Gamekeeper as a pastry chef. I worked in government for the last 24 years and retired in August 2008. I'm not sure what I will do now but it will be different.
